VERTPAC has been manufacturing high quality plant sleeves for the nursery trade in the United States and Canada for over 50 years (our Planters division opened its doors in 1967). With over 60,000 square feet of wholly owned state-of-the-art conversion facilities in the heart of Florida, we offer the widest selection of sleeves in the industry and have grown into the largest sleeve manufacturer in North America.

The key to this success story has its roots in a history of product and manufacturing innovation that dates back to the origin of the paper plant sleeve itself.

In the great American tradition, our entrepreneurial spirit recognized that there had to be a similar, quicker, more cost effective way to ship plants than by wrapping them with newspaper in a time consuming ordeal at the loading dock.

We then developed the first plastic sleeve manufacturing machinery and coined the term “Satin” which is used worldwide today.

We were also the first to produce Fiber-Aire and ShoCase sleeves and introduced custom printed paper sleeves.

Proprietary conversion technology for wet strength KRAFT paper utilizing FANUC robotic automation is another exclusive industry first.

Other innovations include complete sleeving systems from the original header & belt clip system to our unique Sleeving Standard. Our counter clamp represents sleeving innovation at the retail level as we strive to meet the packaging needs of the plant retailer.

Finally in 2017 came the introduction of a seamless, circular woven tubular tree sleeve, to pick-up from where traditional paper sleeves reach their limits of performance with larger potted plants and small trees.
